Congratulatons to our graduates for 2009
C.I.V.T would like to congratulate the students and graduates of 2009 on completion of their training and apprenticeships. A graduation ceremony will be held in March 2010 to honour the students achievements .

Caterpillar Institute conducted training in India
Cathy Cassar traveled to India to deliver the Train the Trainer course where the 15 students spoke four different languages. Cathy said "This was the most challenging and rewarding training I've ever done." Cathy is a General Training Facilitator at CIVT.

VACC and Caterpillar Institute join forces to provide an alternative option to employ Apprentices.
VACC Auto Apprenticeships employs apprentices and trainees then places them with host employers for their on-the-job training. This offers Caterpillar and William Adams customers a cost-efficient way to employ apprentices. Call CIVT for more information.

A win-win for managers and machine operators
Try this calculator to estimate the possible fuel savings and carbon emissions. Enter your annual fuel volume, fuel cost per litre and try a few different percentages.
Caterpillar Institute conducted a number of pilot programs of the ECO operator course in Australia using a 980H wheel loader and determined that on average, fuel savings of above 6% are realistic. Fuel reductions also reduce carbon emissions. Similar savings can be achieved on other mobile equipment. More Information...
