oil refineries (except buildings), pipelines or construction projects,
or in the general repair of such structures, machinery or equipment. The
heavy construction industry in Australia ranks 40 out of 496 by industry
turnover and its life cycle is in a mature phase, which means that the
industry is generally growing at at the same rate as the economy
The industry utilises a wide range of equipment that includes
wheel loaders, hydraulic excavators, rigid-frame trucks, articulated trucks,
scrapers, track-type tractors, telecsopic handlers and carrydozers.
