Agriculture
Victoria and Tasmania’s modern agricultural industries have grown by progressively
expanding in area, diversity and volume of production. Research, trial
and error, and innovation have overcome the challenges posed by an unpredictable
and variable climate, infertile soils and large distance to markets. Much
has been learned and is still being learned as land use systems and farming
practices continue to evolve and adjust to the Australian environment.
Victoria and Tasmania has a wide variety of enterprises in the
agricultural industry that ranges from the traditional wheat, sheep and
wool through to the newer industries that include aquaculture and vineculture.
This diverse range of agricultrual industries requires a diverse range
of equipement for preperation, planting, tending, havesting and processing
its produce. Some of this equipment includes; tractors, combines, rippers,
finishers, cultivators and harvestors.
